Cecil Road, Manchester

Status - Planning approval received

The project proposes a new extension and internal modifications to a Victorian semi-detached house for a young couple. A new enlarged kitchen and living space creates greater connectivity to the garden. The entrance to the house is relocated to the extension providing direct views of the garden upon arrival and increasing the size of the existing living room at the front of the house. Minor works will be carried out to the first floor of the house to rationalise the spaces.

The extension is to be brick faced with a variety of bonds to provide subtle relief and interest across the elevation, reflective of the brickwork on the original house.
